Musician Rises Above Workplace Injury

Presenter: Jack Thomas

When Jack Thomas thinks back to the day he lost his arm, what he remembers most are the warning signs. As Jack was working near a conveyer belt, it suddenly started up and his sleeve was caught in the machinery, causing the loss of his right arm from the elbow down. He decided that he wouldn’t let his injury derail his dream of being a musician.

Today, the 22-year old Port Coquitlam native is an active member of the local music scene, playing bass guitar, drums, and piano. Jack works as a professional musician, audio engineer, music producer, and motivational speaker and has performed in bands, produced albums, and participated in numerous music recording projects.
