Actsafe has partnered with Inn at the Quay Hotel to offer an exclusive accommodation rate for conference attendees. The hotel is located right on the waterfront in New Westminster and within walking distance of the conference venue at the Anvil Centre.

Rates start at $239 CAD per night (plus tax), with a limited block of rooms held for attendees. Please note, availability is limited and the group rate is available until August 21, 2026, or until rooms are sold out. Cancellations can be made without penalty up to September 17, 2026. Parking is available at $17 plus tax per night.

  • By Car

    New Westminster is connected to Metro Vancouver’s major highways and arteries via three bridges: the Queensborough Bridge (connecting Highway 91 and the East-West Connector), the Patullo Bridge (connecting Surrey’s King George Boulevard), and the new Port Mann Bridge (connecting Highway 1).

    For travellers arriving by BC Ferries, the newly opened South Fraser Perimeter Road (Highway 17) provides a quick, direct route to New Westminster via the Bridgeview Drive/130 St. exit and the River Road/Nordel Way exit.

    Immediately across the Anvil Centre on Eighth Street is the New Westminster SkyTrain station. Less than a 30-minute ride from downtown Vancouver, the New Westminster station is serviced by both the Expo and Millennium Lines.

    Visitors arriving from YVR can connect to SkyTrain via the Canada Line at the airport. After a transfer at Waterfront Station, visitors can arrive at Anvil Centre in about 30-minutes.

    Visitors from the Tri-Cities can reach Anvil Centre from Coquitlam City Centre in just over 30 minutes via the Evergreen Line, with a transfer to the Millennium Line at Lougheed Town Centre.

  • Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available for all attendees. The network is the City of New Westminster Wi-Fi.

    Wi-Fi access details will be provided on tables for easy connection.

  • Underground parking
    Anvil Centre features three levels of underground parking with 270 stalls. Parkade access is on Eighth Street.

    Other parking: Parking is also available at two large nearby parkades. Adjacent to Anvil Centre is the Shops at New West multi-level parkade, located at the corner of Eighth Street and Columbia St. The Front Street Parkade, accessed from Fourth and Sixth Streets and just south of Columbia, offers reasonably priced hourly and daily parking rates.

    On-street parking: Hourly pay meter parking can be found on the streets in and around Anvil Centre. Please note most meters have time limits.

  • We are committed to making the conference accessible and inclusive for all attendees. The venue is fully accessible and includes elevators and accessible entrances, accessible washrooms on every level, accessible parking, baby change tables in select washrooms, gender-neutral washrooms, and a fully equipped first aid room. The venue is also a certified service dog–friendly environment.

    The location is easily accessible via public transit (SkyTrain and bus), with convenient bike access via the BC Parkway and on-street bike parking available.

    Accessible reserved seating can be made available upon request. Attendees will also have the option to share any specific accessibility needs during the ticket registration process so we can support them in advance.

    A designated quiet space can be arranged on-site for anyone who may need a calm area to rest or decompress during the event.

  • We will not be offering live streaming of the conference sessions. Instead, sessions will be recorded and made available to registered attendees for 10 days after the conference.

    Please note not all sessions will be recorded, as some speakers have opted out of having their presentations recorded.

    All available recordings will include closed captioning to support accessibility.

  • Yes. The conference includes a dedicated networking session, exhibitor spaces, and informal opportunities to connect with industry professionals from across British Columbia and beyond.

  • Yes, tickets may be transferred if you are unable to attend. Please contact us at communications@actsafe.ca by September 11, 2026, so we can assist with the update.

    • In-person (2-day Conference + Awards): Includes full access to both days of the conference, all sessions, networking opportunities, exhibitor area, coffee and lunch on both days, and admission to the Awards Night, including dinner.

    • In-person (2-day Conference only): Includes full access to both conference days, all sessions, networking opportunities, exhibitor area, coffee and lunch on both days. Please note this option does not include admission to the Awards Night.

    • Awards Gala only: Includes admission to the Awards Night, including dinner and the awards ceremony only.
