Actsafe Safety Specialist (Vancouver Island)

Tamara has called Vancouver Island home for over 25 years and brings more than two decades of experience across British Columbia’s vibrant creative sectors. With 15 years in film and television production, and an additional 10 years in live events, performing arts, and cultural festivals, she has a deep-rooted understanding of the unique dynamics—and demands—of these industries.

A licensed Primary Care Paramedic and current Bachelor of Emergency Management student at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, Tamara combines frontline experience with academic insight to support safer, more resilient workplaces.

A passionate advocate for health and safety, she is known for championing proactive, practical solutions to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. Tamara brings strong knowledge of BC’s occupational health and safety regulations and is committed to supporting, educating, and empowering productions and industry professionals throughout the region.
