Janka Neustupová is a film and television professional specialising in production, health and safety, and workforce wellbeing. With academic backgrounds in Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Film Studies, and Directing for Film and TV, she has worked across independent features, broadcast television, and international productions.
Drawing on both professional experience and personal insights into workplace burnout, Janka has become a passionate advocate for mental wellbeing in the entertainment industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she supported international productions as a Health & Safety/COVID-19 Supervisor and championed initiatives to improve worker support on and off set. This journey led her to specialise in intimacy coordination—combining technical safety knowledge with psychological insight to create safer creative environments.
She is an IPA-certified Intimacy Coordinator and EMCC certified Coach, and creator of the Insight initiative—developed through New Era Safety with support from Motivation Labs—which uses workforce wellbeing data to drive evidence-based change across the audio-visual industry. Whether working directly on set or informing broader industry standards, her approach ensures all individuals feel empowered to deliver their best performances while upholding professional standards in scenes involving intimacy—promoting emotional safety on set while enhancing the overall quality of the creative process for cast members and directors alike.
