Crowd Safety Workshop
Crowd Safety Workshop: Combining Math, Physics, Psychology and Behaviours to Achieve Safe Outcomes
2018’s Crowd Safety Workshop was such a resounding success, we had to bring Eric Stuart back for a second year to present this exceptional professional development opportunity. Discounted workshop rates are available to conference delegates, but register early - this workshop will sell out fast!
This year’s Crowd Safety Workshop takes place outside of conference dates so that delegates don’t miss out on programming.
When large groups of people gather to enjoy festivals, concerts, shows, parades, and other special events, there are risks that need to be considered. If your work involves planning to accommodate large groups of people, you need to know how to plan to mitigate these risks and keep your crowds safe.
To provide an in-depth look at crowd safety, UK-based crowd management expert Eric Stuart presents a two-day session: Crowd Safety: Combining Math, Physics, Psychology and Behaviours to Achieve Safe Outcomes. The course aims to provide an understanding of the four aspects of basic crowd safety and to provide techniques to plan and manage safe pedestrian flows in crowded places during all phases of an event including emergencies.
