Naloxone Training (interactive)


Taught in a classroom type setting, this 90 minute course focuses on opioid overdose reversal and Take Home Naloxone (THN). The course provides a solid understanding of opioids, neurophysiology of opioid addiction, how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and Naloxone pharmacology. In addition, attendees will participate in a hands-on practice session, learning how to deliver the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone.

By the end of the session, attendees will be able to describe what opioids are and their effects on the body/brain, recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and know how to deliver Naloxone in an emergency. Every attendee will receive a free Take Home Naloxone (THN) kit.
